June 2014

Happy 14th anniversary to these 2 on June 3, 2014! Still my favorite person to be with! We bought Disneyland passes in May and wanted to celebrate at the happiest place on earth. Shirley watched the kids and we got a night out.
Sharanne came home from college for the summer before leaving on her mission. We had so much fun with her at the Long Beach Aquarium.
We ate at the Blue Bayou for our anniversary. Would love to make that a tradition!
Mommy and Carolyne waiting in line at Disneyland.
In June, we were able to move again (sarcasm). Moving with little kids is SO hard! I was getting so frustrated they wanted to "help". Tom had the fantastic idea to have them make snowmen out of cardboard boxes. They loved it! Drew faces with markers and it kept them busy for hours. Yay!! So grateful to move back into student housing for a while to catch up on finances from a 6 month layoff and super high rent.
In January a friend from school invited Austin to try out Taekwondo for two weeks. He LOVED it and Axel wanted to do it too! The very first week, Austin came home and said I want to become a black belt and open my own studio one day! I've never heard him that excited about any sport we have tried so far. A year later and several hundreds of dollars later, we are still doing it and he should be a black belt by the time he is 9 and Axel will probably be a black belt by the time he is 8. Daddy even just signed up. Their slogan is "a family that kicks together, stays together!" Cheers to that!
The boys in Toon Town. They had been begging to go to Disneyland for 2 years. We surprised them one day and put them in the car and then told them where we were going. Austin kept asking "are you serious??". It was so much fun! We were just as excited as them! We didn't even tell them about California Adventure until a couple of months later. It has been an incredible year going to Disneyland so much!
