A couple of nights ago we were looking at our blog with Austin showing him pictures of when he was born and much younger. He kept giggling as we told him stories and we all had so much fun bonding together. It pained my heart realizing how far behind I am on this blog and gave me a renewed strength to attempt catching up again. This was in the townhome on Dalmatia in San Pedro. We loved this "brown house" as the kids call it. We enjoyed several months playing in the front yard before an angry neighbor across the way decided to yell at us each time we played out front. Austin thought he was so cool coasting down the sidewalk with one leg in the air and holding his balance.
Axel felt like such a big boy doing what Austin was doing on his Spiderman scooter. The wheels were horrible on this scooter. We were so proud we found this scooter at a thrift store for only $4 but you get what you pay for. He still had a great time! We enjoyed our neighbor Matthew across the way who was Axel's age and would join the boys on his scooter.
Me enjoying the boys at Royal Palms beach in San Pedro. It was low tide and we waded in our clothes out to some rocks. The water was freezing but we had so much fun with aunt Jenny, our cousins Laura and Joey. We found out later the "rocks" we were standing on used to be a bathhouse several years ago and we were standing on the foundation. Boys loved climbing these rocks!
At the beginning of 2014 grandma and grandpa Mead were in town and we went to the Point Fermin lighthouse in San Pedro. The boys were too small to go to the top but we are lucky our tour guide either ignored that guideline or didn't know about it:) During WW2 this lighthouse turned into a naval spot and they build barracks on these grounds.
Austin would always sneak my sandal heels and run in them. Blackmail for later! He thought he was so funny and now I think I'm so funny!
