Right after Tom starting working at Marymount California University, the university won an award and we were invited to join the President and other leaders of the university for a fancy dinner at Terranea which is a super duper fancy resort in Rancho Palos Verdes. We were so new to the area and didn't know any babysitters. We called Latu in Long Beach, our dear friend who helped us move to Tonga and asked if her daughter CJ could babysit for us. CJ was shocked as her mother never lets her babysit and I drove a total of 1 hour round trip to pick up and drop off. On our drive home Austin wet himself since the drive was too long, Axel pooped his pants that night since he had recently been potty trained and CJ didn't have much experience babysitting. Pretty sure we scarred her for life and she never wants kids but she had the best attitude and was laughing and figuring it out while we were talking on the phone. Our poor kids had been through so many moves and changes and had never even met CJ before that night. With all of the chaos and memories made, it was absolutely amazing to have a nice night out with Tom!
In November 2013 Aunt Cynthia and Aunt Keri came out and we all enjoyed a harbor cruise at the Ports O Call in San Pedro, CA. The aunties bought the boys this huge shaved ice since the boys were staring at everyone who had one.
Crazy hat day at Taper Elementary. Here is Austin in kindergarten. We bought this hat when he was 2 at Disneyland.
Me and the kiddos on our harbor cruise. We live in a GORGEOUS area!! This is the Port of Los Angeles.
Axel is just dang cute and growing into such a big boy.
We bought season passes to the Long Beach Aquarium when we moved to San Pedro. We bought some bird food and the birds were flying right onto Austin's arm and eating and he was loving every minute of it! Axel was scared of the birds but Austin loved it.
